Livos produces natural wood finishes made from plant based ingredients with full ingredient disclosure. The products are manufactured in Germany and have been used internationally for over 40 years.

Livos New Zealand was established by Lloyd Brooke Anderson, furniture maker and founder of Lloyd Brooke Furniture.

After working with Livos finishes for more than ten years while based in Melbourne, Lloyd experienced firsthand how well these products perform on flooring, fine furniture and interior timbers. When relocating to New Zealand, he discovered that these finishes were difficult to obtain locally.

Livos New Zealand was created to make these natural wood finishes available to homeowners, furniture makers, schools and flooring contractors who want a safer alternative to conventional wood coatings and hardwax oils.

Many conventional finishes and hardwax oils rely on synthetic resins, solvents, and urethane based coatings. Livos takes a different approach, using plant based raw materials and providing full ingredient transparency.

The goal is simple: to make it easier for New Zealand homes to use wood finishes that protect timber while supporting healthier indoor environments.
